Curriculum Night 9/15
The purpose of Curriculum Night is to provide parents with information regarding the DPS Strategic Plan, our three school-wide goals, and specific details about your child’s learning goals and objectives for the school year. Teachers will also share information about their particular classroom procedures. Curriculum Night is next Thursday, September 15, and it will include classroom visits and our first PTA meeting. There will be two sessions for visiting classrooms-Session 1 will be from 5:15-5:45 and Session 2 will be from 5:55-6:25. Hopefully this schedule will accommodate parents with more than one classroom to visit, and parents who are unable to arrive earlier than 5:55. There is also a few minutes built in for transitions. The classroom sessions will be led by our wonderful teachers and staff, followed by our very first PTA meeting in the gym. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. At the PTA meeting, our fabulous PTA President Jill Simpson and Principal Teresa James will be sharing more about the DPS Strategic Plan, our school-wide goals, and the feedback received from the staff, student, and parent surveys.
