Hispanic Heritage Month
As part of our humanities curriculum, during Hispanic Heritage Month students at Club learn about the art, history, literature, people, and culture of Hispanic countries. In addition to classroom studies, individual students chose a Hispanic art form to research and created a piece of art in that form. Last Thursday night, Club teachers hosted their annual Hispanic Heritage Night. This night served as a culmination of our studies and gave our Club community the opportunity to come together and eat authentic food prepared by Club families and local restaurants. In addition to the dinner, families enjoyed looking at displays of art, writing, and research that lined the hallways. To get a glimpse of this wonderful event, please enjoy the slideshow below prepared by 1st grade teacher, Ms. Foote.
