The Spelling Bee is Coming!
Club Blvd BEE DAY is December 15. All classroom spelling bees will be held that day. Students are encouraged to wear yellow and black to celebrate!
Durham Public Schools is partnering with Duke University to take
part in the 2012 National Scripps Spelling Bee. Every public
elementary school in Durham will hold a spelling bee. The winner from
each school will go on to compete in the regional final at Duke
University on March 3. Duke University will send the winner and their
parent chaperone to Washington, D.C. to compete in the 2012 National
Scripps Spelling Bee. All students at Club Boulevard Humanities Magnet
will get to participate in classroom level spelling bees on December
15. Then each class winner will participate in a school-wide spelling
bee on January 20. The winner from each class will receive a letter.
Grade level specific word lists were sent home in Manatee folders last
week. Questions? Contact Diana Lisle. Have fun and start
spelling!
