Helping at School
Club Boulevard Humanities Magnet welcomes parents, grandparents, and other family members into the classroom and to all school events. There are plenty of opportunities to share your talents with students, ranging from an ongoing commitment (such as lending a hand once a week in your child's classroom) to occasional assistance (such as serving as a chaperone for a class field trip.)
At Club, parents help with everything from stuffing Manatee folders each Monday to organizing and teaching Extended Day classes.
If you would like to volunteer in your child's classroom, the best approach is to ask his or her teacher how you can get involved. The Manatee News and Principal's Newsletter that go home in the Manatee folder often list other opportunities to help out.
All volunteers will need to fill out the secure online registration form available at the Volunteering at DPS page of the main DPS site. The registration form includes a volunteer profile, including potential availability and volunteer interests. This online form also includes a background check.
Our Club Boulevard Volunteer Coordinator (mother of a Club student) is also available to assist in connecting volunteers with opportunities that suit their schedules, skills, and interests. The Club Boulevard Volunteer Interest Form is a handy way to send her your information, and her contact information is there on the form as well.
